Connie's plans to take her niece Shayna for a cabin getaway in the deep woods are spoiled when her dark past rears its ugly head. She travels there alone and encounters a troubled young woman who has been stranded in the wilderness.

"Ember in the Woods" is a drama/thriller that follows three characters from "King of Terrors" a year after the events of that movie.

"Ember" stars Rivers Duggan, Sophia Zalipsky, Clairisse Winton, Sasha Pearson, Adam Chawaari and Sharif Byer.  Writer/Director Ryan Callaway won Best Screenplay at the 2023 Northeast Film Festival and Rivers Duggan was nominated for Best Actress.  In the May New Jersey Film Awards Competition Rivers Duggan won Best Actress in a Feature Film and Callaway was awarded Best Director of a Feature.
