The Demon's Waltz

Rebecca, a private investigator, is hired to delve into the origins of a mysterious TikTok challenge that has caused the deaths of several people. She soon learns the truth behind the old adage, "the longer you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back into you", as her investigation invites something evil into her own home.

Briana Aceti from "The Girl in the Cornfield" is back in the lead role in this film, alongside Kailee McGuire, Sophia Zalipsky, Breanna Engle, newcomer Dustin Tyler, and more.

The film was inspired by writer/director Ryan Callaway's hatred of the TikTok app. After almost being lured into participating in one of his stepdaughter's videos, in revenge he started thinking of ways to demonize the app and stumbled upon an interesting angle to pursue.

Filming took place throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties NJ, as well as the haunted town of Riegelsville, PA and Saylorsville.

"The Demon's Waltz" had two screenings at Basie Center Cinemas in Red Bank, NJ. On July 21st the movie showed at the 2021 Northern Horror Fest in Bergenfield, NJ where it was nominated for Best Actor/Actress (Briana Aceti), Best Screenplay (Ryan Callaway) and won the Audience Choice Award.

Esteemed film critic Nick Pinkerton attended one of the screenings and included "The Demon's Waltz" in this List of Films I Love for Le Cinema Club.
